Cosmetic Acupuncture

What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Cosmetic acupuncture or facial acupuncture is a method of treating problem areas of the face such as fine lines, wrinkles, skin folds, acne and other skin conditions.

How does cosmetic acupuncture work?

Very fine needles are placed in specific acupuncture points of the face and body. This stimulates the natural healing process of the body, improves circulation and therefore improves complexion. Results may be seen after just one treatment, with a ‘loading dose’ required over approximately six sessions to encourage the cumulative effect, which allows for lasting results.

Laura is a Chartered Physiotherapist and she has an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the face and body. This allows her to provide a highly effective treatment for her clients. If you wish to discuss any aspect of cosmetic facial acupuncture, please do not hesitate to contact her.

What happens during treatment sessions?

At your initial assessment, Laura will discuss your aims of treatment and will compile a personalised treatment programme. Treatment will commence at the initial assessment, with needles remaining in situ for the perfect length of time to allow optimum results. Once the needles have been removed, Laura will use a Jade Roller to relax and rejuvenate your face and will apply moisturising cream as an ongoing treatment.

Follow up treatment sessions will then commence over the coming weeks, which will continue to address your problem areas and may address other areas if required. Once again, following treatment Laura will use the Jade roller to promote relaxation and apply moisturising cream to enhance the skin condition.

Each session is concluded with a face mask and the client is invited to spend some time in our beautiful on site swimming pool and spa area.
